Wrapping up 2024
It was a good year to feel proud of where we work. Being based in Cornwall sets us apart and in 2024 we made sure to make the most of it.
We worked with Cornish brand giants Roddas, Rattler and the South West Coast Path. We filmed on location all over the county; jumping in the sea in Newquay, and chasing chickens around St Ewe. The team enjoyed design talks in Plymouth (that’s Devon, we know) and training day lunch breaks on the beach in Mawgan Porth. We love working with local companies who proudly shout about being based in Cornwall because we like to shout about it too – it’s a pretty nice back garden to have!
What did we get up to?
In 2024, we introduced new team members, worked with dream clients and produced some of our most creative and challenging work yet.
We also saw a lot of firsts for Idenna, signs that we are constantly evolving and adapting. We worked on our first Christmas single for the Buttermarket, a collaboration with Redruth music duo Headluv and Passman that made Becky and Dan’s dreams come true. Our film team produced their first day for night shoot using VFX integration, proving that they really can do anything they put their minds to. And Rebecca championed our first influencer campaign for long standing clients Atlantic Reach over the summer, which you can read more about here.
We wonder what the firsts will be in 2025? Our first advertising award is the one we are shooting for.
The Team:
We welcomed Rebecca, Isaac and Leigh at the start of 2024 and as we move into 2025, they are definitely part of the furniture.
Rebecca joined our Words Team and has had a huge impact, her work on the Great Gardens of Cornwall campaign saw her produce an insightful series of 14 blogs for “Behind the Gardens,” and in collaboration with Kate in the Design Team has well and truly put a stamp on the South West Coast Path’s new brand and tone of voice.
Issac joined our Campaigns Team and has been a star. His project highlight of the year was working on the Rattler Christmas truck advert which the film team produced and Isaac distributed on paid media platforms.
Leigh came into our film team to head up production and has corralled a busy workload and a busy team into a well oiled machine. Kudos.
We also welcomed back the superstars that are Nat and Terri both from maternity leave. Nat is our Head of Culture and Brand and has been with Idenna for 13 years – she is an endless supply of creativity and warmth. Terri is our Campaigns & Digital Media Executive queen of ad campaigns and elderflower cordial. We are happy to have them both back.
Unfortunately, the end of another year does mean a few goodbyes for Idenna as Sam our Head Of Film, Bridget one of our Graphic Designers and Jake part of our Web Development team leave us for new and sunnier adventures. Good luck guys!
In the spirit of positivity, it is also a time to celebrate. Kate has been promoted to Senior Graphic Designer, a well deserved step up. Kate has been producing amazing work with us for 3 years, her responses to briefs and her ability to adapt style to suit a client is unparalleled. A well earnt position.
Simon will now be heading up our film team. Simon has been a key part of Idenna for over 10 years; always on hand with the perfect reference and heaps of creative ideas. Watch this space.
And last but not least, new dogs have joined the team – Cora, Peter, Flynn and Oscar have made their own, slightly louder, entrances to the office.
So what’s in store for next year?
