Bodmin College Sixth Form Branding
Brief
Bodmin College challenged us to create a brand that separated their Sixth Form from the lower school and reflected not only the high standard of education that they deliver, but the personal support they provide for their students. More than anything, the new brand had to reflect the ambitions, talents and, most importantly, individuality of their students.
The Plot
We started from scratch, designing a new logo that employed the Bodmin B as an inspirational tool that could be teamed with interchangeable messages – B Inspired, B Successful, B anything you want to be. We then set to work on creating modern prospectus that allowed students to ‘build their future’ using insertable course cards each with an strong and straightforward message, adding a die-cut ‘B’ on the front cover to further personalise it. We complemented this with a new website, and banners and flags.
What happened next?
The design allowed them to stand out amongst a sea of cookie cutter education providers and provided students with a contemporary Sixth Form identity that they could connect with. We’re now working on a brand refresh for lower school branding too — watch this space!
